What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow websites to remember information about you (preferences, login status, etc.) across sessions. Cookies are distinct from other tracking technologies like pixels and local storage.

Cookies can be:

  • Session cookies: Deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies: Stored for a set duration (days, months, or years).
  • First-party cookies: Set by the website you’re visiting.
  • Third-party cookies: Set by a domain other than the one you’re visiting.

Cookies we use

The m42k.com website uses only one category of cookies:

Cookie nameCategoryPurposeDurationProvider
csrf_tokenStrictly necessaryCSRF protection for contact form submissionSessionJupiter

Summary: We use one session-based, strictly necessary cookie to protect your contact form submission from cross-site request forgery attacks. This cookie is deleted when you close your browser.

Cookies we do NOT use

  • Analytics cookies: We do not set cookies for analytics. We rely on server-side, anonymised logs only. No third-party analytics services (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.) are enabled.
  • Marketing cookies: We do not use cookies for retargeting, remarketing, or advertising purposes.
  • Third-party cookies: We do not allow other domains to set tracking cookies on our website.

How to control cookies

You can control cookies via your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data. You can block all cookies or allow only essential ones.
  • Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data. Set to “Only for essential site cookies.”
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → “Block all cookies” or “Allow from websites I visit.”
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Cookies and other site data.

Most browsers also allow you to clear cookies from specific sites or all sites at any time.

If you block the strictly necessary cookie, the contact form may not work correctly.

Do Not Track

We honour Do Not Track (DNT) signals sent by your browser. If DNT is enabled, we will not use analytics or marketing cookies (though we currently use neither anyway).

Updates to this policy

As Jupiter grows, we may add features that require additional cookies (e.g., third-party analytics or session management in the platform). When we do, this page will be updated and you will be notified by email.

Current status: Last updated 25 May 2026. No third-party cookies in use.
